'william.' stills (2017, 2019)

By Matthew W.F. Senior

These stills and photographs of William Henry Senior were captured by his grandson, Matthew W.F. Senior, during the shooting of 'william.' in 2017, as well as during the shooting of the extended version, in 2019.

In 2019, this film was updated with an extended + remastered version, which completely replaced the original release. Senior originally made this film in 2017 as a result of having constant nightmares about his grandfathers passing, and decided to produce an art piece in which William could be remembered forever; the film was an emotional process inspired by dreams. Following the films release, these nightmares stopped for around three months. When these nightmares returned, Senior shot additional footage, adding to the narrative, and tweaked the editing throughout, re-releasing it two years later in March 2019, when he felt it was absolutely perfect to him.

The nightmares subsided shortly thereafter.
